News release – July 2025
Dotlines UK is embedding sustainability into its DNA from day one by partnering with Carma, a leading climate action platform that supports UK veterans. The company will utilise Carma’s plug-in climate solutions across its brands; Audra Security, Catena and Carnival Internet UK.
Through this partnership, Dotlines UK will contribute to biodiversity and climate action by planting trees or kelp each month in line with sales volumes. The company has set an ambitious target: to plant one million trees or kelp within its first five years. Supporting this effort, Carma’s live impact dashboards will allow customers and stakeholders to visualise, track and measure environmental progress across all three brands. These dashboards will be available on the sustainability pages of each brand’s website.
Each brand will implement the partnership in its own way. Audra Security, which offers accessible cybersecurity solutions for homes and businesses, will plant one tree for every device sold — an initiative that aligns with the brand’s energy-conscious devices, designed with moderate power consumption in mind.
Catena, which operates on a subscription-based model, will donate trees or kelp each month according to customer volume. Its platform is hosted on Black Box Hosting’s cloud, chosen specifically for its ISO 14068-1 carbon-neutral credentials, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable technology infrastructure.
Carnival Internet UK is taking things a step further by pledging to go beyond net zero and actively create a positive environmental impact. For every month a customer remains subscribed, Carnival Internet will plant one tree or kelp. On top of this, 1% of all customer bills will be donated to UK charities working to end digital poverty.
Jim Holland, CEO of Carma, said:
“This partnership is a powerful example of how businesses can address climate change while making sustainability more accessible. By working together, we can deliver measurable environmental benefits and inspire broader corporate action.”
Mike Lock, Director of Technology and Operations at Dotlines UK, added:
“Sustainability is at the heart of our businesses, but not at the expense of service delivery. We strive to partner with like-minded companies that not only uphold our own values but better our customer proposition. Our partnership with Carma epitomises this stance.”
